The purpose of the Meade County History museum is to preserve our history and educate our community. We want to make artifacts and historic items available for the public to see.
The museum has exhibits that show items from prehistoric times up through recent time. You can see what has happened in the history of the area, and learn how people lived in the past.
MCHAPS is an independent association of archeologist, historians and genealogists that is dedicated to preserving the history of Meade county and sharing it with others.
MCHAPS meets the second Monday of each month. All MCHAPS meetings are free and open to the public. Donations to the museum upkeep are always welcomed.
